5 Reasons I Haven't Blogged In Almost A Year

Hey, so it's been a little while, and it's scary how quick time goes by. I've given my virtual space a little freshen up and had a think about a couple of the reasons I haven't been writing.

1. I'm fickle.

There! I said it! I never seem to stick with a particular interest or activity long term and I end up flitting from one thing to another and then back around again.

2. The longer I didn't write, the harder it was to start again.

The over-thinker in me kept holding me back; What do you post about after almost a year? Is there any point? Why have I left it so long? But hey, I'm not about putting pressure on myself, life does enough of that on its own, so when I want to blog and I'm enjoying it then I'll give it a go.

3. I've become a gamer.

So something I have managed to stick with for a while is Guild Wars 2; Yes this does make me a geek, whatever! I really didn't think it would be my bag, but after the wrist break last July, suffering from boredom, Martyn suggested I give it a try, and he's been playing for a few years. With it being PC based I could play with my arm in plaster because I only needed to use my left fingers for movement keys and my right hand for the mouse. Anyway, I won't bore you with the details but I'm currently playing Norn Mirage Mesmer and Sylvari Renegade Revenant. If you know, you know!

4. My Mum & Step-Dad opened a coffee shop.

They took a leap of faith and started their exciting new venture late 2018, so I've been working the odd shift in the shop and helping them out with social media too. It hasn't taken up much of my time really, but it was so exciting that I got all wrapped up wanting to help them get it off the ground.

5. The exciting one! We're planning our wedding.

After getting engaged in May 2018 we're making plans to become Mr & Mrs, which for me means a lot of Pinterest, Googling and general faffing. When we got engaged it felt like forever away, and we had all the time in the world, but one year in I've done some bridal party question popping and almost finished getting our Save The Dates out. Better get our arses into gear!
